Attention Class of 2009 and their parents!
An assembly for Juniors will be held on Tuesday, March 25 to dispense information packets and to make appointments for the Class of 2009 Senior Portraits. These portraits will be made at CHS April 10-13 (Thursday—Sunday). Juniors should come to the assembly prepared to sign up for their desired appointment time for these portraits in April. Below are some commonly asked questions concerning CHS Senior Portraits:
- How are senior portraits different from other school pictures?
- CHS adheres to the time-honored tradition of formal portraits for our graduates, and a special section of the Cavalier yearbook is devoted to the senior class. These portraits are made at a special “sitting” with portrait lighting, lenses, sets, and backgrounds. Tuxedos for boys and formal drapes for girls are worn and supplied by the studio. A casual sitting in the clothing and settings of your choice is also available.
- Do I have to travel off-campus to have my portrait made?
- No, a studio is set up in the Arts Lecture Room 159 room during the dates in April as stated above.
- I work after school and on weekends—so when can I have my portrait made?
- You may make an appointment during school time on the Thursday or Friday of the appointment days. You will receive a notice to give to your teacher in advance, and you will be responsible for all work missed for that class during the time of your appointment.
- Must I have my portrait made with this studio in order to be included in the yearbook?
- Yes!!! We do not accept photos from other studios. This studio is selected for its superior quality and has also served for many years as one of our school’s main fund raising supporters. Your photo is supplied to the yearbook at no cost to you. Over the years, our graduates have been extremely pleased with their portraits.
- Must I purchase a package in order to have my senior portrait in the Yearbook?
- No, a purchase is not necessary. Your proof will be sent to us by the studio. You will be charged a $20 nonrefundable sitting fee at your appointment.
- I have heard former seniors talk about driving to the studio in Readyville to have their portraits made. Is this necessary?
- NO! Just have your portrait made at school April 10-13 (know when you want the appointment on March 25).
Q. May I select which pose I want to appear in the yearbook?
A. Yes, but you must inform the studio of the pose you want by July 1
