No more drama, please!

What My Mother Doesn't Know is about Sophie, an almost
15 year old girl, who struggles through her first, second, and third
love while still trying to get a good grasp on life. She struggles
through odds and ends until one day, she meets Dylan. Dylan was
her idea of a perfect boyfriend, until she meets Chaz. Dylan dumps
her at a Halloween party. Later on in the story she meets yet another
boy, Murphy. Concerned with how her friends will feel if they found
out she likes a "class geek," she hides how she feels.
"....but it wasn't like a physical attraction kind of thing.
It was more like an I-feel-sorry-for-him kind of thing..."
Although this book had a few laughs, like the "lackonookie
diease," that didn't make up for its lack of closure in its
plot. The main character, Sophie, had shallow values that are not
relevant to today's modern girl. Most modern girls, unlike Sophie,
do not need a boy to survive.
Sonya Sones wrote in stanzas, a trite form, which didn't suit the
story at all. It is a pre-adolescent book with poor, weak writing.
This book, although a quick read, did not meet my expectations.
I already have enough frivolous teenage drama in my life to spend
my time reading about it.
