Lilo & Stitch
PG

As I was standing in line at the movies this summer, I realized that because I was with two children, my movie choice would have to be Stuart Little II or Lilo & Stitch. Well, Stuart Little II was not very appealing to me, so I watched the movie Lilo &Stitch.

I thought that I was going to dislike the movie. Instead, I ended up loving it so much! The story has two main characters: Lilo, a little Hawaiian girl, and Stitch, who is an alien. This film is rated PG for mild science fiction. The movie is about a young Hawaiian girl, Lilo, whose parents are dead, so she lives with her older sister. Lilo is rejected by a group of girls and is a lonely girl who also has no friends.

Lilo’s life is changed when she meets Stitch. Stitch is an alien who was an experiment gone wrong. Stitch escapes, heads to earth, and steals a ship that lands in Hawaii, where he meets Lilo. At first everything goes wrong for Stitch, but then when Lilo gets a pet, she falls in love with Stitch. Mean while, Stitch learns about Elvis and his music.

Soon the mad scientist Jumba, who created Stitch, headed to earth to capture him with the help of a companion, Pleakey. Jumba and Pleakley have to bring Stitch home.

Will Stitch end up leaving or staying with Lilo?

This wonderful movie is bold, risky, and adventurous. The director of Lilo & Stitch used Elvis to describe Lilo. Lilo carries a vinyl record player that she always listens to. This film was due to rap up by September, but due to the September 11 attacks ,the film was changed. Well, only the last scenes of the movie. An airplane had been put in, then had to be changed to an alien ship. Some would call it a “kiddie movie,” but see for yourself.
