The Lady Cavs soccer team has kicked off the season with a promising start. With an exciting record of 8-2, the girls are ranked first in the district. They won the game against Riverdale 1-0, with a goal Micah Alexander. The game against York was another victory with a score of 4-0. Lauren Metts scored two goals, Carrie Bressler scored one goal, and Courtney Bressler scored a goal.

Recently the girls participated in two tournaments, one in Oak Ridge and one in Chattanooga. In Oak Ridge the girls placed fifth out of twelve teams. They had a 3-0 win, a 2-0 loss, and a 4-0 win. In the Chattanooga tournament the girls received third out of eight teams. They lost the first game 3-2 with Nicole Dickinson and Courtney Bressler scoring one goal each. The other team only scored on placement balls. The girls won the second game 4-1 with Carrie Bressler scoring one goal, Lauren Metts scoring 2, and Micah Alexander scoring a goal. In the third game, the girls won another game 4-0, this time Lauren Metts scored three goals and Micah Alexander scored one.

On September 14, the girls played Warren County and won 2-0. Lauren Metts scored the first goal and Katherine Lynn scored the second.

With a new coach, new defensive and offensive strategies, and plenty of motivation and dedication from the girls, this year the girls expect to win districts and possibly even go on to state.
