End stupid rules!

Nikki Wise, Guest writter

This morning I went into the cafeteria to get my breakfast and take it to class, as I have done since I was a freshman. Thie morning was different, however; as I was walking out of the cafeteria, one of the principals stopped me and said I couldn’t take my take my food to class.

This is an outrage. Why is it so bad for me to simply eat my food in the comfort of my classroom? There, I get to eat in peace and quiet and I am not bothering anybody or disrupting class. What is the big deal?

There is a rule in the CHS handbook that says that any food that is bought in the cafeteria must be eaten in the cafeteria. People should have the right to eat where they want no matter where they buy their food.

It is petty rules like these that cause people to rebel. If rules in the handbook are not enforced for years, then why are they starting to be enforced now?

Let’s do away with the silly, pointless rules that don’t harm anybody.
