Blood drive at CHS, timely for giving

by Kristen Mitchell, Charger Staff

In light of the tragedy that our nation has experienced, many students at Cookeville High School may be wondering how they can make a difference or help.

"There is always a need for blood as individual Americans face their own life tragedies every day," says Jonathan Uhles, Interact Club president. The CHS Interact Club will be sponsoring a blood drie on October 24. Any students who are 17 and over 110 pounds are eligible to give blood. This blood will be useful to the American Red Cross to treat those people who are needing blood. The Interact Club sponsors this blood drive every year.

"I encourage everyone who is eligible to give blood to do so this year. This is an opportunity for our school to aid in the relief efforts of this national tragedy. However, I hope that we won't forget the importance of helping our fellow Americans," says Uhles.
