The Cookeville High School Cavalier girls’ and boys’ Golf Team did an amazing job playing their way through the season. The girls and boys went to the State Tournaments that took place during Oct. 11-13.

The boys team did a great job and won first out of all the teams competing, leaving them with a record of 85 wins and only 6 losses. Senior Jared Dunn won first out of the players with a score of 77 and 22 for the boys’ team. “ I was glad to be able to go to State,” he said,”It was great competition even though I didn’t do as well as I wanted.”

At State for the girls team, Senior Kayla Stewart did an amazing job, shooting 78 and 80 coming in tenth place. “This has been a great season for the teams,” says Senior Julie Longhurst, “Everyone as a whole did really great.”
