Freshman baseball player recognized

Laura Denton, Copy Editor

Cookeville High Schooll Freshman Bo Reeder has been selected as one of the thirteen best thirteen-year-old baseball players in the United States.

Bo plays on the Cavalier Baseball Team and is currently waiting to see if he will be on the varsity team. This year, he plays mostly shortstop, but he can play any position.

Not only does he play for CHS, but he also plays for the Knoxville Yard Dogs. His involvement in this traveling team, which competes mostly in the southeast, helped him become recognized as a talented player.

Although he says many people helped him get to where he is today, Bo feels most in debt to Garth Lorg, who played for the Blue Jays for nine years. As a trainer, Lorg helped Bo develop his talent.

How does Bo feel about all this? “It makes me want to live up to it,” he says. He hopes to play professional baseball, and with hard work and a little luck, Bo Reeder will make it to the top.
