That’s all folks--tune in next year

Beth Knight, Charger Staff

The 2002 volleyball season has come to an end. The record to date is 11 wins and 37 losses. The girls, despite their record, were still excited about how their season turned out. They were ranked sixth in their district.

They went out with a bang at districts, almost upsetting Lebanon.

The seniors this year included Erica McDonald, Amy Byrne, and Jennifer Skimmyhorn. The captain for this year’s squad was Erica McDonald. Macey Denney also helped with the captain duties at some matches. Erica also received honorable mention at the last tournament, and Macey received the title All District. The coaches included Sharon Bilbrey and Andrea Stewart.

Team coach “Stew” said that, “I really enjoyed getting to know the girls this season. They are a great group of people and always put a smile on my face.” She also said, “The record leaves improvement for next season.”

Congratulations, girls, on a great season, and good luck to the graduating seniors. Keep up the good work for next season and keep practicing.
