Cavaliers--first time Region 3 5A Champions

The football season is coming to an end and the Cookeville Cavaliers are doing better than expected.

In the region tournament the teams are Warren County, Lincoln County, Cumberland County, Coffee County, and Franklin County. The Cavaliers have won against all except for Coffee County earlier in the season..

The Homecoming against Beech was not a victory, nor was Antioch. Their successful games this season include White County, Lebanon, Warren County, Lincoln County, Cumberland County, McGavock, and also against Franklin County leading them to be region champs.

The Cavs start their road to State Championship this Friday night when they play Smyrna here at 7:30.
