American Red Cross Blood Drive coming to CHS soon

Leigh Ivey, Editor-in-Chief

Twice a year students at CHS have a unique opportunity--to give blood to the American Red Cross. Sponsored by the Interact club, the blood drive is held every fall and spring.
On Nov. 14, any student seventeen years old and weighing over 110 pounds has the option to give blood for the American Red Cross Association.

Amanda Nixon, president of Interact, said, “The blood drive is a great chance for students to get involved in helping others.”

In light of recent events, it is important for any eligible student to donate blood. Last year, over one hundred CHS students participated in the drive, and more are hoped to donate this year.

“We hope everyone eligible will consider donating blood this year,” Nixon said. “There are many people in need of blood, and we hope to make a difference.”
