Prayer circle at CHS

Doug Hensley, Charger Staff

Do you advocate prayer in school? Some people do. There is a group of dedicated Christians in this school, who have taken it upon themselves to promote prayer. I had the privilege of talking to the leaders of the prayer circle, Travis Calloway and Alex VanAalton. I asked them to tell me the story of how the circle came together and why it is so important. According to Alex he thinks that we need more prayer in school. They said that they pray for the school, the sick, and our country. Apparently people stare at them and occasionally some come to join.

I asked the entire group are you ever late for class and they said that they are most of the time, but they are late for an exceptionally great reason.

If you want to join, the group meets at 8:50 in front of the auditorium and between every block. Alex and Travis would very much appreciate it if many others were involved in their service to please the Lord. Just take a little time out of your schedule to join in this time of prayer. To become more involved in a Christian walk of life show up to the prayer circle.
