Spencer Huddleston Charger Staff
Due to the recent Young Life Mullet Challenge, CHS senior Evan Talley has changed his hairstyle and lifestyle with the once famous Mullet. With Talley beginning such a famous trend, people all over school are wondering how Mullets came to be.
Let us begin with a brief history of the Mullet. Back in the days of dinosaurs, the early Cro-Magnon Mulletarian (homo mulletis) grew out his hair in an attempt to (a) camoflauge himself from the dangers of carnivorous reptiles and (b) to keep his neck warm. From this era of survival, the Mullet evolved into different styles according to the personality and atmosphere of the Mulletarian. Prime examples include the Medival Mullet, the Femullet (quite popular with females), the Kentucky Waterfall (named for the state and the flowing nature of the hair) and most recently the Lynard Skynryd, Natural Ice, and Jeff Foxworthian Mullets (self-explanatory). In fact, it just so happens that certain members of the Charger have dedicated their lives (ok, maybe just the past few days) to sighting and documenting various mullets, past and present, at our school. So sit back and see how the Mullet has affected all of our lives, and we wish you good hunting!
