Matrimonial match made by America?

Thomasina Bennett, Charger Staff

There is a new show on FOX network this month. Married by America aired Monday, March 3. This is a different kind of reality television show.

The basis of the show is that some reality television fans are just dying to get married but don’t have a particular person in mind. The makers of the show decided to let America decide who these people should marry.

Basically, Married will follow four single people, two men and two women, looking to get hitched. Then, with the help of a relationship expert five potential mates will be chosen for each contestant.

Afterwards, friends and family of the contestants will narrow the choices down to two, and viewers will vote on which one will get engaged to each of the single people. There is a catch to all of this married mania though. At the end of the show, each of the four will propose, or be proposed to, from behind a curtain. They won’t get to see their partner-to-be until after the ring has changed hands.
