Simple pleasures: a fading memory due to technology?
Perry Johnson , Charger Staff
Remember when you were a kid and used to look up at the sky and
make shapes of things or sit on the shore and fish and not care
how late you stayed?
Why is everyone in a hurry to get things done so they can do nothing
but sit around when they could be outside enjoying natural entertainment
like fishing?
People are so uptight and "mature" that they have removed
the word fun from their vocabulary or they do not know what good
clean fun is anymore.
Advances in technology and a more hurried pace in life have caused
many people to forget where they came from.
In earlier, simpler times when a person had time on his hands,
he was either hunting or fishing for food and providing for his
family.
People do not realize what they are missing if they do not go out
and sit on the banks of a river and clear their minds, or go out
and walk through the woods and hope for things to come.
Thanks to technology our society has become rather lazy.
I am not saying that the new technology is bad. It is just that
the way people are using it is wrong.
They sit around and do not want to do any of the things that they
are supposed to do nor the things they need to do.
They become reliant on those who that do know what to do and they
become slaves all because they did not stop for the technology;
they just kept advancing.
This will affect the future of our society. People in this day
and time dont realize the strain they put on this society.
So I will leave you by asking a question many will differ on.
Are our new technological advances good or bad?
