Many of the people here at Cookeville High are members of the 4-H Club. Even though we have not had a recent meeting, many things have been going on and more is going to be coming up in the future.

A few of the events that have recently taken place include Lifesmarts on Jan. 13. On January 20, Citizen and Leadership Record Books were due. The Public Speaking Contest was Jan. 23.

In February there will be a 4-H Performing Arts Troupe. February has two other activities as well - District Horse Bowl and Hippology. The 4-H Beekeeping Essay s are due in February too. Feb. 11 is Sub-District Public Speaking Contest and rounding out the month on Feb. 22 is District Public Speaking Contest.

March will also be a busy month for 4-Hers. GL Herrington/Agr Scholarships are due on March 1, as well as the Horse Enrollment Forms. March 7-8 is the Spring All-Star Conference. March 21-23 is the Prudential Youth Leadership Institute.

April brings the District Horse Judging Contest on April 4. April 13-16 is State 4-H Congress. April 25 is the day that the Senior Record books are due.

April 28 is the day the Conference Assistant Applications Due.

4-Hers even stay busy after the school year ends.

On June 3 is the Egg Cookery Contest. June 16-19 is Jr. High 4-H Camp in Crossville. June 19-21 is Teen Adventure Weekend in Crossville. And finally, June 24-28 is the State 4-H Horse Show in Shelbyville.
