Rachels back with memorable kisses
Rachel M. Robinson, Charger Staff
With Valentines Day coming up, most people think about kissing,
and lots of it! If you are spending your Valentines Day with
someone special or not (me), here are the top 10 heart-pumping,
blood-rushing, feet-tingling movie kisses to watch with the person
you love, even if its yourself.

|
From Here to Eternity--An oldie but goodie
starring William Holden and Debra Kerr. |
|
9.
|
Gone With the Wind--This kiss shared between
these immortalized characters (Scarlet and Rhett) is movie history.
Besides, there's just something about slapping a guy and then
kissing him. It's sexy and empowering. (Of course, in return,
Rhett shouldn't have pushed Scarlet down the stairs which caused
her to miscarry their child....) |

|
10 Things I Hate About You--The "paintballing
and hay kiss" takes the cake. Heath Ledger is nice also. |
|
7.
|
Dirty Dancing--We all know what kiss I
am talking about...in the bungalow..with the record player... |
|
6.
|
Lord of the Rings--I realize everyone is
not a diehard LOTR fan (I'm certainly not). However, Aragorn's
dream/kissing sequence makes sitting through a three-hour movie
worth it. |
|
5.
|
Shakespeare in Love--First of all, Joseph
Fiennes is fine. When Will climbs the trellis to Viola's balcony
and then storms into her room to confess his undying love for
her...classic. |
|
4.
|
The Last of the Mohicans--Amid the guts
and bloodshed, Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeline Stowe are still
able to fall in love. The kissing scene happens after they both
almost lose their lives and realize they cannot live without
each other. |
|
3.
|
Speed--Any movie that has traumatic events
which bring the characters closer together always has an excellent
kiss. |
|
2.
|
Spiderman--Three words: upside down kiss...Three
more words: in the rain. Enough said. |
|

|
Pretty Woman--I know. I know. Spiderman
is supposedly rated one of the top kisses in movie history,
but when I had to rate the number one kiss, I looked for classic
storylines. This movie is your basic Cinderella story (plus
the whole hooker thing). Guy meets girl, transforms girl, guy
falls in love but won't admit it, girl goes away, and guy rescues
her. Not to mention, Richard Gere is an excellent kisser for
an old guy, and there was that whole piano scene..... |
