High expectations, high hopes for track

Nikki Wise, Charger Staff

It is almost that time again for a great sport called track. Track season officially begins February 15, 2002. Conditioning has already started with the boys starting in November and the girls starting in the second week of January.

The boys track team is expecting to have around 36 team members.

Coach Wrassman isn’t sure who the leaders are yet, but he expects the seniors to take leadership.
The team’s strength is distance due to most of the great X-Country is on our track team. Their weaknesses are field events and sprints.

The girl’s team is expecting to have around 30 girls on the team. A few of the expected of the team are Ashley Brady, Andy Bowman, and Anadna Lollar.

Coach Scott believes the team will do fairly well at the regional meets and do about the same as they did last year.
The team’s strengths are the long and high jumpers, and their weakness is the throwers.

So, when track season officially starts. Go out and support our track team. Go Cavs!!
