When you think of Mono (Mononucleosis), you commonly refered to it is the kissing disease. Although the disease is rarely fatal, there is information out there to help you with what could be similar symptoms.
The symptoms for this disease are fever, chills, sore throat, swollen glands, headache, fatigue, and elargement of lymph nodes ( which are the nodes in neck and armpits). What some confuse as influenza or the flu, it may be mono. Some even refer to it as a common cold.
You can only get Mono by making contact with saliva; in other terms by kissing. Some people never get the symptoms.
This disease affects certain blood cells. Mono affects all ages but mostly teens and young adults. By the time theyre 40, more than 95% in the U.S. will be infected with Epstein-Barr virus, which causes mono. Its common among college students and military, as well as infants, and young children.
Adolescents usually report loss of appetite, weakness, and sore muscles. Infected time for adults is 10-60 days. As for children and adolescents. the infected time is usuallly between 7-4 days. If the disease gets serious, you must see a doctor. As a precaution one piece of advice; dont drink out of anybodys drink! Keep it safe.
