Community company: Premier

Premier Diagnostic Imaging Center is a Cookeville company that is well known in the community. They have the Community Billboard, located on Lowe Ave., sponsor CHS sports teams and are the corporate sponsor of The Charger. Premier also supports Upperman High’s teams, the YMCA, and several of theRotary Club’s activities.

Premier’s dedication to the community has had a direct impact on The Charger staff. Through Premier’s generosity in the last two years, two new computers have been added to our work area.

These computers are a great help in creating a efficient newspaper.

Bob Gunther, a representative from Premier, said that Premier supported The Charger because they felt it and important aspect of CHS.

What does Premier , the company, do? Premier is an outpatient imaging center. This means that they do several internal scans such as X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans, ultrasounds, etc. There are several different departments, such as Neurology, Pathology, Women’s Services, and many more. Currently 19 doctors are on staff. In addition to the medical staff, there are many nurses, receptionists and other staff that help make Premier such a convenient place to go for outpatient screens.

If a patient needs some kind of X-ray or scan they can be referred
by their doctor.

One of the newest additions to the state-of-the-art center is a machine that can actually take a picture of an organ, such as the heart, and see an image of that organ on the computer. This is useful in trying to determine any blockage in arteries and other such problems.
