Ghost Re-con: Tom Clancy’s newest X-Box hit

Tom Clancy has added a new addition to his recent streak of X Box
hits with his newest title, Ghost Re-con. Although a past PC
title,
the game is based on the players leading an elite group of experienced
soldiers that are so well trained that they are called ghosts,
because
they can perform as stealth ghosts in order to fulfill their mission.
The year is 2008, and an ultra radical separatist group has seized
power of Moscow in order to reestablish the Soviet Union. America
has sent its highly trained cooperative to ensure peace once and
for all.
The game begins by players listening to a mission briefing that
lays out the objectives for your team of Ghosts to accomplish.
Then
you assemble your team--choosing through a list of riflemen, snipers,
support and demolition experts. You can also equip them with all
the necessary items you think they might need for any given mission.
For example, if the mission requires you to bring down an enemy
SAM (Surface to Air Missile) site, then its a good idea to equip
your demolition expert with a kit that includes something explosive
enough to destroy it.
The game’s controls make good use of all the buttons on the
controller, allowing every action from reloading to crouching to
be more readily accessible. This just allows gamers to concentrate
on the mission or the fire fight.
While the modes provide hours of single player fun, the heart of
this game is its ability to offer a really enjoyable selection
of
multi player modes. You can choose to play the game with a friend
using one X Box console or use the System Link option to play with
up to sixteen players on more than two consoles. However, while
all of this is great, its the X Box Live support that will have
gamers hooked. There are literally dozens of multi player modes
either option you choose--from cooperative games (Mission, Fire
fight and Re-con) to team games (Last Man Standing, Search and
Rescue,
Hamburger Hill, Domination and Siege) and solo games (its you against
everyone).
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Re-con is an amazing piece of work that
is worthy of being in any diehard gamer’s library. With its
entertaining game modes, great graphics and multiplayers options,
you can’t go wrong. I give this game a 5 out of 5!
