Need something to do? Try one of these classic teen flicks

Nicole Pullen, Meg Ivey, Charger Staff

In this issue, we couldn’t afford to dedicate an entire page to movies. Instead, we were only permitted one list. But that’s better than nothing.

This is a list of the top ten teen comedies. These movies aren’t quite as sophisticated as romantic comedies although they do share some similar qualities. Both genres make you laugh and don’t require too much thinking. All they require is an open two hour block. And they’re a great way to spend those two hours.

10. Boys and Girls – When Harry Met Sally , reversed and in college
9. Drive Me Crazy - It’s Can’t Buy Me Love meets Brittney Spears
8. Down to You - Freddie Prinze Jr. = teen flick
7. She’s All That – teen twist on Pretty Woman
6. Never Been Kissed – “I’m not Josie Grossy anymore!”
5. Can’t Hardly Wait - Jennifer Love Hewitt in her best role since Neutrogena
4. Save the Last Dance - A teen movie that deals with a serious subject and has some awesome dancing
3. 10 Things I Hate About You – The Taming of the Shrew in high school
2. American Pie (I & II) – “We’ll just tell your mother that we ate it all.”
1. Clueless – The one that started it all
