Beta Conference: good time had by allRebecca Boucher, Charger Staff Recently, thirteen CHS students traveled to the Opryland Hotel for the Beta
Club Convention. The atmosphere was celebratory with various activities planned to celebrate
being a Beta Club member. A few activities were the talent show, quiz bowl,
dance, and campaign. Only one member from each group of students from one school is allowed to run
for state office, and this year Nikki Elmore was the lucky candidate. With a
slogan of “Don’t be tricky, vote for Nikki,” it is amazing that
she did not “bring home the bacon.” The required campaign skit, however,
placed second. Congratulations to the Beta Club for such a successful convention trip!
