Cookeville High School Summer School and Credit Recovery

(Upperman and Monterey will do their own Credit Recovery.)

June 4-June 28, 2007

7:30 A.M.-3:00 P.M.

Summer School will take place June 4 – June 28 at Cookeville High School.  Students may register at their individual schools until 10:00 on May 26.  After that, they may register at CHS on May 26th from 12:00 until 2:00 and on May 29th from 10:00 until 1:00.  Students must bring their report card to prove attendance and grade average for admission.

Courses Offered:  English 9A, 9B; English 10A, 10B; Foundations II, Algebra IA, IB; Spanish IIB

Credit Recovery will be offered in the following subjects: English 11, English 12, Algebra II, Geometry, Economics, and Government -- Other classes for recovery may be arranged through Mrs. McBride or Mr. Martin as necessary to complete graduation requirements according to enrollment.

The tuition rates for the 2006/07 Summer School is $150 per student per credit.  The fee is payable at CHS on the first day of class, June 4. Tuition will be waived for students on a fee waiver.

A student may enroll in summer school provided absences do not exceed fifteen (15) per semester, the semester grade average is fifty (50) or above, and enrollment for the previous year was in Putnam County Schools per Board policy 4.204.

No more than one (1) credit shall be earned during any summer school session.

One hundred percent attendance is required in summer school. Any time missed must be made up in its entirety or the student will be dropped from the summer school. A passing summer school grade can replace a failing semester grade.
